This is a significant milestone in an industry that produces health supplements. Regulatory guidelines are the only measure to gauge if a supplement company is meeting public health safety standards. The NSF/GMP mark represents the highest standards of evaluation and safety-testing of dietary supplements and herbal formulations. The GMP requirements are listed in Section 8 of NSF/ANSI 173 which is the only accredited American National Standard in the dietary supplement industry developed in accordance with the FDA’s 21 CFR part 111.
