New Chinese Study Confirms That Turmeric Curcumin Suppresses Colon Cancer Cell Invasion
“Curcumin, an active nontoxic ingredient of turmeric, possesses potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-cancer properties.”
Birmingham, Alabama, December 10, 2016, Turmeric Curcumin has been in the news a lot lately. Many studies have shown its ability to affect the human body in ways similar to pharmaceuticals, but without any harmful side effects. A brand new 2016 study from the Department of Gastrointestinal-Colorectal Surgery, First Hospital of Jilin University, Changchun, Jilin 130021, P.R. China, has garnered much attention from the worldwide medical community. The present study investigated the hypothesis that curcumin inhibits colon cancer cell invasion. Human colon cancer cells were treated with various concentrations of curcumin. Curcumin was demonstrated to dose-dependently inhibit the adhesion and proliferation ability of cancer cells. “Overall, the present data suggest that curcumin inhibits colon cancer cell invasion.”
Turmeric Curcumin is already accepted to have a wide range of efficacious uses. Because of its powerful anti-inflammatory actions, it has been successfully used to treat joint pain for many years. In fact, Turmeric Curcumin has been used for over 4,000 years to treat many health conditions. Every major health disorder is accompanied with inflammation. That’s why this anti-oxidant rich spice is quite useful in the prevention of diseases like Cancer, Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and Alzheimer’s. No harmful effects have been registered about this natural remedy at all. Wellington Pham, PhD, an assistant professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences and Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt, stated in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, “Curcumin has a demonstrated ability to enter the brain, bind and destroy the beta-amyloid plaque present in Alzheimer’s with reduced toxicity.”
Whenever a nutritional supplement receives so much attention, the market becomes inundated with inferior grades of the product. In this case, bio-availability means everything to the success of Turmeric Curcumin’s action in the human body. If it can’t be absorbed, it will not have a therapeutic effect. World renown physician, Dr. Joseph Mercola, stated, “When it doesn’t dissolve properly, curcumin has a tough time getting into the gut, which is where most of the immune system lives. 80% of your immune system is located in your digestive system, making a healthy gut a major focal point if you want to maintain optimal health.”
Researchers at IshaPur have developed a formula that increases the curcumin’s bioavailability by 2000%. They have revealed that this is done by combining turmeric curcumin with a small amount of black pepper. Each serving of IshaPur contains 1200mg of 95% standardized turmeric curcumin extract in addition to 95-98% Piperine, the patented potent extract of black pepper fruit. The company reports that there are no fillers or binders, no sugar, starch, salt, preservatives, artificial color, flavor, or fragrance – basically there is no junk in their supplement. It’s all-natural and pure.
