It is no doubt that in today’s day and age, more and more women are being recognized as the true leaders they are, but that does not mean they did not face huge challenges on their way to the top. This new book “Upward” will act as a guide to teach women how to overcome challenges and rise to a leadership position, even in the face of adversity.

Chandler, AZ – Jan 29th, 2021, BMcTALKS Press has announced the release of their highly anticipated new book, “Upward.” “Upward” is a book every businesswoman who dreams of holding a leadership position should read for a multitude of reasons. The book shares the experiences and tips from other successful women in leadership positions on how to overcome the challenges that plague many women in the workforce and corporate world. The editors and compilers of the book “Upward,” Bridgett McGowen-Hawkins and Simone E. Morris, have done massive amounts of footwork and asked important questions to many women in leadership positions.

“Upward” holds those answers that so many women have been seeking as they try to navigate the waters of the corporate world and workforce and rise to the leadership position they so deserve. Terry Kimble, CEO of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce in Arizona was quoted as saying, “[Upward] contains inspirational stories of women who are making a difference in everyday lives around the world. Even though they come from different places, cultures, and backgrounds, they have similar leadership characteristics that I guarantee will inspire you.”  The book should be a cornerstone of development for all women as it will instill confidence and provide valuable lessons that usually can only be taught by going through those hardships. As they say, “hindsight is 20/20.”

During a press gathering, the company spokesperson was quoted as saying, “Both women, leaders in their respective fields in their own right, have reached out to more than 20 women who currently hold leadership roles in various businesses and asked them to share their stories. Each chapter is written by a female business leader sharing her struggles and some of the challenges she faced as she made her way in the business world.”

She went on to say, “In addition, each chapter advises the next generation of women on how to best work toward achieving their leadership goals. From this book, you will learn from women already in these positions what you need to do to achieve your leadership goals. Upward is the handbook that every woman who strives to be a leader and role model for other women can use for success.”

On International Women’s Day, Monday, March 8, 2021 from 3pm ET until 4:30pm ET, the co-authors of “Upward” will appear on a live virtual event for listeners to get answers to the biggest questions about leadership and to get a sneak peek into their revealing chapters that appear in the book.
