New Study From The University of Basel Shows Green Tea Extract Boosts Brain Power – Especially The Working Memory
The findings suggest promising clinical implications for the treatment of cognitive impairments in psychiatric disorders such as dementia.
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA, February 4, 2015, Green Tea Extract is one of the most studied compounds in the supplement world. There are a plethora of clinical studies that show it’s health benefits. Now, a recent study from the University of Basel, in Switzerland, is reporting the first evidence that Green Tea Extract enhances the cognitive functions, in particular the working memory. The results of the study were published in the peer reviewed academic journal Psychopharmacology.
In this new study, the researcher teams of Prof. Christoph Beglinger from the University Hospital of Basel and Prof. Stefan Borgwardt from the Psychiatric University Clinics found that Green Tea Extract increases the brain’s effective connectivity, meaning the causal influence that one brain area exerts over another. This effect on connectivity also led to improvement in actual cognitive performance: Subjects tested significantly better for working memory tasks after the admission of green tea extract.¹
Green Tea Extract has long been used in weight loss as an appetite suppressant, and for its ability to speed-up the Metabolism without the use of harmful stimulants, and without causing the “Jitters”. The fact that it is great for brain health is a bonus action of ECGC, Green Tea Extract’s active ingredient. Foreward thinking supplement formulators like Steve Stanley have been doing research and development on weight-loss formulas that will not only contain Green Tea Extract, but also other proven weight-loss ingredients.
Steve recently launched his Adjuvan7, a weight-loss formula that is unique in all the world. Adjuvan7 includes: Raspberry Ketones, Garcinia Cambogia, Saffron, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Forskolin, Green Tea Extract (EGCG), & Niacin. All of these ingredients are endorsed by Dr. Oz, and have clinical studies that offer proof of their weight-loss benefits. Steve explained that the concept behind his multi-ingredient formula is that not every weight-loss ingredient works for all people. What he did was include “Back-Up Ingredients” in the formula to ensure that the proper goals are achieved, such as acting as an appetite suppressant, or an energy booster, or multiple ingredients that can block the enzyme that converts carbs into fat cells. This is the future of weight-loss capsules today.
