Ali and his wife, Veronica Porché Ali, bought the home in 1979, around the time Ali retired from professional boxing. They lived there with their two children until they separated in 1986. The home is currently owned by Michael Lawson and Maddie McFadden-Lawson. Mr. Lawson was previously a partner in the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and later served President Obama as Ambassador to the International Civil Aviation Organization. Mr. Lawson now serves as the CEO and President of the Los Angeles Urban League. Ms. McFadden-Lawson served on President Obama’s Advisory Committee on the Arts.

Highlights include a grand entry hall, a formal dining room, a living room with bay windows, a den with a wet bar and a rounded breakfast nook. On the side of the home, a half-circle sun room receives light from glass ceilings. A fireplace anchors the master suite, which opens to a column-lined deck. The landscaped grounds also hold a flagstone patio, a grassy yard and a series of fountains and lounges.
