The Airgle Clean Room Air Purifier AG900 Proven Effective At Eliminating Airborne Pathogens For Educational Facilities
Growing evidence suggests that exposure to air pollution can negatively affect children’s neurodevelopment. Good indoor air quality, on the other hand, not only promotes a healthier learning environment at schools but also helps reduce absenteeism, improve test scores and increase student and staff productivity.
Holbrook, New York, September 26, 2022, More than ever before, indoor air quality is being called into question. This is true especially in educational facilities all across the nation. It is proven science that poor air quality has a detrimental effect on cognitive development and learning. This is supported by a recent Harvard Study.
Even in the best of times, classrooms are incubators for communicable illnesses. In spaces with poor indoor air quality, productivity drops by an astounding 40% on tasks, which require cognitive skills. Education is being negatively impacted because of poor indoor air quality.
Airgle, the global leader in Air Purification Systems, remains at the forefront in the battle to provide the highest quality clean air for all educational environments. Their solution is the AG900 System which exceeds indoor air quality standards. Many airborne pathogens have very slow precipitation rates, so they remain in the air for many hours. The less time a pathogen remains in the air, the lower the chance of cross-infection. Airgle recommends achieving 5 Air Changes per Hour, which is easily accomplished by their AG900 System.
AG900 Filter Configuration:
- cHEPA Filter: Removes up to 99.999% of airborne particles via a 40 sq. ft. premium cHEPA filter that removes, bacteria, virus, dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, and other indoor airborne pollutants.
- Gas & Odor Filter: Captures gaseous pollutants using 6lbs of premium activated carbon that adsorbs chemicals, smoke and odors.
- Titanium Pro Module: Neutralizes chemicals, bacteria and viruses featuring the world’s first and only photocatalytic oxidation technology that uses a catalytic metal plate, electronic component, a germicidal UV lamp and UV lamp ballast within one disposable module.
In March 2021, the Department of Education introduced the American Rescue Plan (ARP), allocating funding to provide emergency relief grants for K-12 schools in the form of the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. This has been a boon to improvement of air quality at educational facilities. These funds are available to improve the air quality in schools and to help create healthier and safer environments for students, teachers, and staff.
Improving indoor air quality (IAQ) is a top priority for schools across the country as they continue their efforts to reduce the risk of COVID and other respiratory infections among students, teachers, and staff.
During a recent interview, Dr. Tyler Orehek, M.Sc, CIEC, made these comments, “Airgle air purification systems are without question, the most extraordinary purifiers in the industry. They are the only hospital-grade system, which possess a highly discriminating cHEPA filter, far exceeding the specifications of traditional HEPA, but also incorporating a powerful UV light and hydroxyl radicals, which oxidizes and breaks apart bacteria and viruses.”
Airgle is also very proud to share incomparable test results which were recently performed by a Biosafety Level-3 Laboratory in the United States, which confirmed Airgle’s ability to purify air against CoV-2 and other ultra-fine contaminants.
The findings read: “The Airgle AG900 air purification device performed to manufacturer’s specifications and demonstrated a reduction to below testing equipment sensitivity of greater than a 99.999% reduction of recoverable active SARS-CoV- 2 virus in the air after 60 minutes of operation. There was no cytopathic effect in the lowest concentration of vero e6 cells, indicating a SARS-CoV-2 virus concentration lower than the limit of detection after a 21-day incubation.”
All of Airgle’s systems now have APP Management software built in. Any number of systems (even a hundred units) can be centrally and remotely managed at once from a phone or tablet. Featuring full control, full monitoring of the system, air quality readings and notifications. This is a powerful new feature, especially for customers who have multiple systems in place.
